Originally purchased in 1994 by Winnie and opened by the 75 year old great grandmother in 1995 as a homely five-room guest house, this accommodation has undergone huge change in its time. Now a modern six room Bed & Breakfast, it still continues to offer the friendly service that Winnie introduced as standard 30 years ago.
Located about 3km out of the CBD, Winnie's sits in part of the Tonga Copra Board estate and has been popular from the start with international medical & dental personnel due to its walking distance from the main hospital, Vaiola. Also, the site is a close distance to the Tonga Amateur Sports Association, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and the University of the South Pacific Tonga Campus which means much less commute time for visiting officials. Sitting on the secondary transport route for Nuku'alofa, this B&B is just far enough out of town to avoid the busy rush but close enough that getting in and out of town is still convenient and affordable!
